FORMER chief financial officer of FirstRand Namibia Oscar Capelao has been appointed as the deputy executive director in the department of economic policy in the finance and public enterprise ministry.
Executive director in the ministry Titus Ndove said Capelao began his new posting on Wednesday, where he will also advise on tax policy.
Capelao has a wealth of knowledge and experience of over 20 years, ranging from public financial management, corporate governance, banking, financial markets and taxation.
He is a chartered accountant by profession and a graduate of the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
