In recent years environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors have become part of the lexicon and integrated into both company governance practices and investor decision-making. At the same time, there is a heated, at times politicized, debate, particularly in the United States, as to the merits or legitimacy relating to the consideration of ESG factors by institutional investors. It raises the question of where do we go next in the ESG debate: Is sustainability sustainable?
Bryant University President Ross Gittell, Ph.D. will deliver the opening remarks. George Dallas, ICGN’s Education and Policy Advisor, will deliver the keynote address on Investor Impact through Systemic Stewardship and Changing Paradigms of Corporate Governance.
The panel discussions feature:
How important are governance, stewardship & sustainability for companies, governments, and investors?
With panelists:
Scott Voss, Managing Director, HarbourVest
Joshua Paton, Senior Analyst, Knights of Columbus Asset Advisors
James A. Diossa, Treasurer, State of Rhode Island
Moderator: Rupendra Paliwal, Ph.D., Provost, Bryant University
